The Coruscant Jedi Council was the Jedi Order's governing body on Coruscant before and during the Alsakan Crisis of 13,000 BBY. The Coruscant Jedi Council reported directly to the Jedi High Council on Ossus, and the Grandmaster of the Coruscant Jedi Council had a seat on the Jedi High Council. In the years prior to the Alsakan Crisis, Jedi Master Banik Kelrada served as the Grandmaster of the Coruscant Jedi Council, and he later became the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order.
