Muscat(VFF157) was born on January 22, 2009, into the Frisky. Her mother was Bootle, and her father was Gazebo, who were the dominant couple of the Frisky at the time. Her litter-mates were Merlot(VFF153), Cabernet(VFM154), and Shiraz(VFF156). All four pups survived their first few weeks and soon started foraging with the adults. Soon Bootle gave birth to another litter, making Muscat and her siblings no longer the pups of the Frisky. Muscat's litter survived and soon reached adulthood. Muscat's mother Bootle died in February, and Muscat's older sister Quaver assumed dominance. Sadly, disease eventually hit the group, and the Frisky began to lose members due not only the sickness, but also evictions of rovings, but Muscat managed to survive. Over the course of 2010 and 2011, Muscat and her
