As captain of the Black Coat Pirates, Jonathan D. Swift has immense strength and is capable of breaking up large boulders, shattering steel, or causing severe damage to large buildings, if not than causing them to collapse. Additionally, Swift has almost always fought the strongest villian of the story arc (I.E. Elon versusing Big Jelly). Swift's strength and speed is the result of his father's training methods (such as being pitted against wolves, surviving in the forests, etc.) and he has been noted to have a punch that is considered immensely powerful, and is comparable to Luffy. His durability is incredible; taking continuous, dangerous, and even deadly fights against powerful opponents that would normally kill a person, yet is still able to fight with valiant efforts.
