Before And After is the 7th song on Rush's debut album. It is the only full album to include John Rutsey.It was never performed live. The song was featured in the 3 record set Archives which was never released on a cd. Before and After is especially notable for its beautiful slow acoustic opening which prominently features harmonics on the guitar before the distortion box kicks in. Then the song gets faster and harder just before the vocals begin.
