The Ultrafrigid Beam is an attack of the first form of the Metroid Prime, appearing in the game of the same name. It is a ground-based ice attack also employed by Thardus and Ice Beasts (in Metroid Prime: Federation Force). While only a minor attack for Prime it is one of Thardus' main attacks. When either slam their fists into the ground, a path of spiky ice will spread towards Samus Aran and freeze her, so she must break free.
