Bodmin Moor is a granite moorland in northeastern Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is 208 square kilometres (80 sq mi) in size, and originally dates from the Carboniferous period of geological history. Bodmin Moor is a historical farming region, that also held a Quidditch stadium. There was a famous match here in 1884, in which a Snitch escaped after eluding capture by the Seekers for six months of play. The Snitch is said to be living wild on the moor still.
