Robert Cooper is a Republican Missouri State Representative whose 155th District covers much of the Lake of the Ozarks, which was created by a Federal bureaucracy and has in turn spurred economic development. No doubt conservatives think that private firms would have been able to do that without the state. Cooper introduced HB 283 propiosing a constitutional amendment which is ostensibly constructed to protect voters from fraud but is actually a vehicle to promote Birther nonsense.
