Shortly after Commmander Shepard had destroyed the Collector Base to ensure Cerberus would not use it for their personal gains, Nephamus, one of the many remaining Collectors alive after the attack, had managed to gain self-awareness after Harbinger released control over the Collector general before the base was destroyed. Using what was left of a shuttle from the ships, he left the debris field and found himself near the Omega 4 Relay. Left unclear of what to do, his shuttle was hit just when he used the other relay to quickly travel to another system where he crashed onto an unspecified forest planet.
