Born on June 4th, 1980 in Portland, Maine, she was the child of Michael Lavont, and Roseann (Thompson) Lavont. As a child, she was more of a tomboy, and always watched wrestling with the boys in the neighborhood. In highschool, she participated in football, basketball and softball. Her GPA in school was a 4.0, graduated in the top 10 of her class in 1998.
