The 1999 Pennzoil 400 Presented by Kmart was a Winston Cup Series (now Sprint Cup) event held at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 14, 1999. It was the inagural series event at the track. Tony Stewart won the event, holding off teammate Bobby Labonte by five seconds. It was Tony Stewart's 3rd career win and his third of his Rooie season, Breaking Deceased driver Davey Allison's record for Most wins of a rookie season. Pontiac also win it's 8th win of the 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup Series Season Dale Jarrett finished 5th and clinched the 1999 championship. There was only one caution for oil, lasting five laps.
