Batten made her acting debut in the sexually-themed anthology series Red Shoe Diaries in "Tears" (1995) with Carolyn Seymour. That year also found Batten in W.E.I.R.D. World with Scott Nimerfro, Gina Ravarra and Clayton Rohner. Batten made the telefilm Marshall Law (1996) with Geoffrey Blake. Another telefilm followed, Sins of the Mind with Louise Fletcher and Robert Pine. Batten next joined several Trek alumni in 1998's Senseless where she starred along with Ivar Brogger, Brad Dourif, Alexander Enberg, Jenette Goldstein, Manu Intiraymi and Richard McGonagle. Batten's next film was Black & White (1999) with Seymour Cassel, Kamala Dawson and Boris Lee Krutonog.
