Rikka was an Honored Matres leader who died of the Omnius Scourge during the Scattering. She was put on trial by her fellow Matres' for bringing the deadly plague back to her home planet as she was fleeing from the Thinking Machines. Even though Rikka was no more guilty that the average Matre when it came to the disease, the Matre leaders still prounced her guilty, and that her punishment was the Long Death. Eventually every human on Rikka's Planet was completely killed by the Scourge.
