Toro-toral was a legendary Avogwi who was the first of the species to learn how to fly according to their history. The Avogwi developed a complicated philosophy based around Toro-toral's teachings, which included the belief that creatures died so that others could live; those wanting to live must kill; those that cannot kill will die; and that those who die do so to allow others to live. Toro-toral's teachings also formed the basis for the ceremonial battles to the death that came with establishing who would rule Avogwi society as the Avog.
