A North Seeker is basically a tool that has the same characteristics as a compass we use. It appeared in Erak's Ransom and The Emperor of Nihon-Ja. It was revealed in Erak's Ransom that they are affected by large concentrated amounts of iron. Both the Rangers and the Skandians use this tool.
