Robert F. Chew, born December 28, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, died January 17, 2013, was an American actor. He plays Joseph "Propositon Joe" Stewart in The Wire. He is a guest star in the first, second, third, fourth, & fifth seasons. He has appeared in The Wire creator David Simon's other series Homicide: Life on the Street and The Corner. He has been active since 1997 and has also appeared in the television feature Something the Lord Made (2004).
