Jealous of celebrity hypnotist Mesmo (who sounds like Ed Wynn)(voiced by Jerry Mann), Fred takes Betty on a dare to hypnotically change her (so why not Wilma?) into a dog, but only succeeds in to working it on Barney, so Fred winds up at the vet talking to a absentminded doctor (voiced by Howard MacNear of the "Andy Griffith show" and old time raido fame), who then sends a cat out to "prove" Barney's new doggy instinct which then results in a dogcatcher catching Barney, then Fred winds up at Mesmo's television studio. Mesmo's willing to help (though he more than admits that he unintentionally transformed at entire audience, and he's got a few unexpecting "Subjects" right in the studio to provie it!) and he and Fred trace Barney to the dog pounder where Barney is and meet up with the dog ca
