The Emergency Income Tax Act was a Manticoran act of law that increased the income tax in order to help the government pay for the military expenses of the First Havenite-Manticoran War. After the truce with the People's Republic, the High Ridge government let the act run out, causing significant financial changes for the state and the military. (HH10)
