The Forest Hozen are the Horde-friendly faction of hozen encountered by players early on in Pandaria beginning in the Jade Forest. They are enemies of the Pearlfin Jinyu who have sided with the Alliance. After the Horde gains their favor by rescuing some of their members, giving them fish, and killing some of their most fearsome enemies, all the Forest Hozen tribes (including the Grookin and Slingtail) pledged their allegiance to the Horde and fought against the Alliance during the war.
