Very little is known of the origin of gwandors. They are all born as humans, but transform into gwandors sometime during their lives. The transformation is usually during puberty or early adolescence, but this is not essential, and a person could transform as a newborn or an old person. It is not known what triggers the change, or if certain humans are more susceptible.
