Animal Crossing is a DLC course within the Mario Kart 8 x Animal Crossing Pack, which was released on 23rd April 2015. Characters from the series can be seen on the sideline watching the race, such as K.K. Slider and Tom Nook. Important landmarks known from the series can also be seen, such as the Town Hall, Nook's Cranny & Able Sisters. In addition, other small references are featured. Coins are replaced by bells and trees on the course can drop fruit, which serves the same function as a mushroom. The course also has four different versions, each representing a season.
