The Flight Gates at the Doria Airport were a vital part of getting planes in and out of the airport. In the 1930s, the Five Families paid for upgrades to the Flight Gates in order to make them function faster and thus allow their hired mercenaries known as "Il Cugino" travel to and from Sicily at greater speed.
