The Wild was a film released by Walt Disney Pictures, but animated in Canada by the now-defunct CORE. McDonald's released toys, available from April 14 to May 11, 2006. The film hit theatres April 14. The eight toys were also timed to National Wildlife Week (April 23 to April 30, 2006). The movie was ultimately unsuccessful, as many critics dismissed it as a copy of DreamWorks Madagascar. In North America, this was the last Disney toy series released by McDonald's.
