Scale mail is the second lightest type of base armor in ADOM. It is somewhat more protective than ring mail body armor. Crystal scale armor has very heavy weight, which is not really compensated by improved armor abilities — it offers 2 extra PV over mithril scale mail while weighing almost twice as much.
