Every year since 1956, a ceremony is held at both the Rockefeller Center and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to crown a new rock-and-roll King. A King has been crowned each year to the delight of millions of spectators at both venues. Ravi Shankar has been crowned King every year since the ceremony was established.
