The World Trade Center or sometimes referred to as the Twin Towers are a group of seven buildings in New York City. The tallest of them being the Twin Towers, 1 WTC and 2 WTC and is currently New York City's tallest skyscrapers and the second tallest in the Americas after Chicago's Lowes Tower. On 1970, 1 WTC surpassed the Empire State Building at 1,368 ft. Currently there is a building being built in Boston known as the Freedom Tower, which is expected to surpass both the World Trade Center and the Sears Tower at 1776 ft.
