Vishal Vasan (born 1983) is an Indian mathematician. Dr. Vasan studied mechanical engineering at the Anna University in Salem, Tamil Nadu where he received his baccalaureate degree in 2005. He then studied received his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University in 2007 under the direction of Don L Boyer. Dr. Vasan earned his PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Washington in 2012 under the direction of Bernard Deconinck. Dr. Vasan is currently at Pennsylvania State University Department of Mathematics as a post-doctoral fellow.
