The Southern Islands were a small group of islands to the west of Kikina and the southwest of Makua Lysuf.It was inhabited mainly by matoran and rahi. Not much else is known about these islands since they have been rarely traveled to because of their distance and the stormy seas that surround them and isolate them from the rest of the world. Because of these fierce waters, the surrounding ocean is called the Stomachache Seas, since most people traveling through them get a severe case of sea-sickness.
