The Type-703 hand Blaster was a a small hold out blaster designed by the Mikaru Corporation and produced by them and the SoroSuub Corporation. The weapons was designed more for self defense than combat, it is easily capable of killing an individual but only within a range of 20m. Due to its size it could only hold a charge for 10 rounds, but the cells could easily be replaced quickly as they popped off the back. It was favored by some Imperial officers as their side arm.
