From the French "deporté", meaning, "damn British", "deporty" is the natural state of mind of the vast majority of Acadian people. The Acadians were deported from Canada's Maritime provinces by the British several hundred years ago. This was necessary since most Acadians had never been to France and thus had no idea of the meaning of "surrendery". Many Acadians have since found their way back to Canada, but some have stayed behind to film KIA commercials, and to help FEMA rebuild New Orleans. Acadians are still nervous around British citizens and those of British descent, as it is well known that the British invented alligators in order to make the Louisiana swamps even more unbearable.
