Ferndew was a female former slave of Fort Marshank. She managed to escape with other slaves when Brome and Keyla guided them through a tunnel towards freedom. Ferndew, Purslane, Geum and Burrwen helped prepare a liberation meal to celebrate the first evening of the recently freed slaves. Ferndew was a very minor character, not much else is known about her.
