A deuteragonist is the second-main character of a story, after the protagonist. The deuteragonist is normally the secondary protagonist of the story. The deuteragonists of the 3D Universe have a lot in common. They normally start out not getting along well with the protagonist, for example Sweet who blames Carl for their brother and mother's death. They normally come around though seeing they have really redeemed themselves or that both of them have same goals. The deuteragonist also accompanies the protagonist in the final mission (Ken, Sweet, Salvatore, etc.).
