A Bowser Shell is a special item exclusive to Mario Kart: Double Dash!! that only Bowser and Bowser Jr. can receive (not including King Boo and Petey Piranha, as they are able to receive any special item.) It is similar to a Green Shell in that when it is released, it will bounce around the track; however, it will not disappear after it hits an unlucky, vulnerable pair of racers. After this weapon hits the walls of a course roughly ten times, or hits opponents who have invincibility, it will break apart. This Item reappeared as one of Bowser's items in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2. This item was originally going to reappear in Mario Kart DS, but was taken out before the game was released.
