Sergeant Albert Doakes is a character in the Dexter Book Series. A physically imposing member of Miami Metro Homicide, he is a strict man with a no-nonsense attitude with an intuitive ability to spot the bad guys. He initially catches onto Dexter Morgan and still holds suspicions of him to this day, unfortunately there is not much Doakes can do in his "current condition" after a run-in with Dr. Danco.
