One day after the Pokémon > Metroid bandwagon formed, it was all put to rest. However, one needs to look into Metroid's past in Nintendo v Nintendo matches to see why that bandwagon began in the first place: Samus has never been able to SFF anything. I doubt that she even SFFd Isaac. As for why she can't SFF anything, who in the world knows. One could credit Metroid only being popular in America, but this is an America-based website. Regardless, I don't know how much of this was Metroid actually SFFing Kirby, though it did put to rest the Pokémon bandwagons.
