Shadow is loyal, following Gabby's orders from the start, though it isn't above going its own way in battle when it knows Gabby's orders are incorrect. This later ends as he trusts Gabby more and they grew to understand each other's battle tactics. Shadow and Spitfire have shown to get along, talking back and forth to aid one another in battle.
