The Caratu were a race of lemur-like beings that lived eighteen millenia prior to the 24th century, in the Late Tarantian Age of the Upper Pleistocene Epoch. They were excellent mediators due to their highly social nature and empathic abilities. They were members of the Colloquium of Progress, a peaceful multispecies community, and had a representative named Oydia serving on the Axis Council in the Axis of Time, where their social skills were a benefit for the Axis cultures as well.
