In 1996, it was sold to Young Broadcasting and in the following year, Young Broadcasting sold thirteen RKO Network stations, ten ABC stations, eight CBS stations, seven NBC stations, six FOX stations, five UPN stations, four WB stations, and one independent station to RKO Holdings.
