The Ace's Comet was a service decoration awarded by the Royal Starfighter Corps of the Golden Empire to any pilot who made five or more kills in starfighter combat, as verified by shipboard computer. If enough independent sources confirmed the kills, the Comet could be awarded posthumously as well. There was no provision for any decoration which signified multiple receipts of the award—a pilot either was an ace or was not—but the RSC did authorize an Aurebesh numeral "1" for the Comet's ribbon for anyone who became an "ace in a day", completing five combat kills in a single battle.
