Norman Hargreaves was the husband of housekeeper Mrs Hargreaves. In November 1989, Norman's wife called at the Kabin to return a wrongly-delivered paper, upsetting Mavis Wilton who was coping alone during Rita Fairclough's disappearance. Mrs Hargreaves was brusque, informing Mavis that Norman always read the Star with his breakfast, and stormed out.
