While in Hong Kong, Harm is kidnapped by the Chinese and subsequently finds himself being interrogated by the Chinese military who are eager to find out if the United States will react if China attempt to take the Matsu Islands by force. Harm later begins to believe that the man in the cell next to him could be his missing father.
