Born in the Fondor system to a pair of dockworkers for the Fondor yards, Rez never really knew her parents. She was taken at an early age to study in the ways of the Force by one of the Inquisitors of Emperor Palpatine. She was brought up in the ways of the Force and learned to use the Dark Side. The Hellfyre handlers sent to maintain control over the operation detected the training and the use of the Dark Side in Rez. Normal Hellfyre doctrine would have dictated that the agents kill Rez, but they valued her training and realized that she had turned her back to the Dark Side.
