The Valo system was a star system just outside the borders of the Cardassian Union, in the Almatha sector. (ST reference: Star Charts) Valo has at least nine planets, three of which were class M. During the early years of the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor, many Bajoran refugees fled to Valo system.
