Deep in the forest there is a stand of pines which is home to, and guarded by, a great gray owl. Within the circle of the trees, about a dozen paces across, there is a +1 Magic aura. These trees grow exceptionally large and strong, and they drop their cones in the first days of Summer each year. Though relatively few cones fall, each contains a pawn of Herbam vis. In a typical Summer 1-10 such cones can be gathered.
