The 1956-26 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Southern States Fairgrounds on June 15, 1956. Speedy Thompson dominated the event, leading 174 of the 200 laps in route to a five-lap victory on Curtis Turner. Eventual season champ Buck Baker finished 5th. Stats
