The Treasure Hunter Imp is an unnamed character from the episode "Smurfette's Dancing Shoes" who sought to gain the treasure of the trolls, but had to marry a fair maiden with a pure heart (or collect a number of items, which he tricked the Smurfs into doing so to free Smurfette) in order to do so. Appearing unto Smurfette, he offered her a pair of magical dancing shoes that would allow her to dance gracefully. However, the catch was that Smurfette now had to marry the imp in exchange for the shoes, and with her wearing the shoes, she was now under the imp's control. Papa Smurf and the other Smurfs came to Smurfette's rescue by having the magical dancing shoes come off of Smurfette's feet and appear unto the feet of the imp and his gargoyle minions.
