The Hills of Tarnost are a series of hills lying in Belfalas region of Gondor, between the river Gilrain to the east and Dol Amroth to the west. To the north is the river Ringló, and in the low foothills of the northern part is the town of Tarnost. This range of hills spanned over one-hundred miles from north to south and from east to west from about thirty-five to fifty miles in the southern part.
