At linux.conf.au 2007, an open source conference in Sydney Australia, some male conference attendees made some photos of Hans Reiser on a stick and displayed these at a social event. At least one of these people then approached women at the event, to say that, unless they switched to the reiser filesystem, Hans Reiser would continue killing women. Due to disputes over the identity of these people, they are not named on this wiki. There was mention of the incident at the conference briefing the next morning and one or more individual was asked to leave the conference.
