They are known worldwide for being the originators of the high-capacity M1911-style pistol. Another of Para-Ordnance's claims to fame is that they produced the first Double-Action Only (DAO) M1911-style pistol. Para-Ordnance also sponsors professional shooter Todd Jarrett, and they have produced a pistol bearing his name.
