Carl is anxious as Nicola's suspicions mount after Rodney lets her down. Rodney challenges Carl, explaining that he wants to tell the police the truth. When Jimmy returns, he too is suspicious of Carl and Rodney's dealings, telling Nicola about them looking shifty earlier. Carl tries to assuage the situation by offering Rodney his job back, but Rodney holds Carl to ransom - demanding cash or he'll drop him in it. Meanwhile, Hazel breaks the news to Bob that she thinks it might be the right time for her to move on. Bob is worried when he realises that she's thinking of leaving and taking Aaron with her.
