The Libertarian Party was an influential political party in Vinsalian politics prior to the personal union with J Andres under Phillippe. After the union, many Vinsalians did not see themselves aligning with the Nationalist party, who they felt was too interventionist, or the Anchor party, which they felt was too far to the right fiscally. As a result, they retained their existing party structure, and offered both parties a pledge to not campaign against them for Commune seats in J Andres districts, if they didn't campaign in Vinsalia.
